ebigo.de - E-Business. IT. Solutions for SMEs

The initiative ebigo.de successfully promotes e-business and IT know-how for SMEs in the German federal state Baden-Württemberg since 2002. Economy in Baden-Württemberg is highly dependent on SMEs: About 99 percent of all companies are SMEs, they employ two thirds of all jobholders and produce 50 percent of the gross domestic product.

It is agreed as highly important that these companies take advantage of E-Business and IT to stay competitive. The goal of the ebigo.de initiative is to provide know-how for SMEs and to stimulate investments in IT. The initiative is based on a deliberated "Three Columns Model" which combines elements such as an internet platform, printed magazines and booklet, events and individual consulting. On the website www.ebigo.de SMEs are able to get information on many ICT areas relevant to their business activities, including information an advice on legal, technical and market issues regarding the usage of ICT.

An important aspect of the initiative is the maintenance of a strong regional partner network. Regional partners get support for their local and regional consulting offers. The initiative ebigo.de helped creating an "E-identity" for Baden-Württemberg.
