Heidelberg Innovation Forum - Business ideas from IT research

The Heidelberg Innovation Forum encourages technology transfer in Germany using an Europe-wide unique concept based on the Open Innovation Paradigm from Harvard. Twice a year - in May and November - this event brings together IT researchers and entrepreneurs to share their most high-potential business ideas from current IT research.

In the course of two days, about 50 IT researchers and 100 entrepreneurs and investors are invited specifically to the Villa Bosch respectively the Palais Prinz Carl in Heidelberg in order to initiate technology transfer businesses there. A total of 48 business ideas from current IT research are presented in front of IT decision makers (IT producers, IT users) of the German industry, who are searching for new cost-cutting IT applications respectively new markets for IT products.

Each time, the Heidelberg Innovation Forum has a special focus, e.g. on Life Sciences and IT in May 2006.

MFG organises this event in cooperation with the European Media Laboratory (EML), founded by Klaus Tschira (SAP).
