DMMK - The German Multimedia Summit

The DMMK Deutscher Multimedia Kongress (German Multimedia Congress) is the leading congress of the German digital economy and identifies the trends of the sector already since 1997. It is organised by the DMMK congress office (MFG Baden-Württemberg – Public Innovation Agency for Information Technology and Media) together with the “Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft e.V.” (BVDW), the leading association of the sector with more than 1,000 members. There exists another cooperation with the “Kommunikationsverband” (Communications Association) in the context of the “Deutscher Multimedia Award” (German Multimedia Award).
After a re-positioning in 2003, the DMMK takes place on an annual basis with an event in Berlin and Stuttgart each: The DMMK Digitale Wirtschaft (DMMK Digital Economy) in Berlin in June of given a year, the DMMK Interaktives Design (DMMK Interactive Design) in Stuttgart in September.
DMMK (Digital Economy) in Berlin
The DMMK Digitale Wirtschaft (Digital Economy) takes place in the representative office of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg in Berlin each year in June. The DMMK Digital Economy is an exclusive networking event for decision makers from politics and economy, taking place in the political environment of Berlin. Right after the congress, the DMMA Deutscher Multimedia Award (German Multimedia Award), the most important prize by far for interactive applications in the German speaking countries, is being bestowed upon the winner of that year. A get-together with live-music and a buffet close the day. In total, 200 decision makers are being expected as congress participants, and an additional 500 for the award ceremony.
